COMENIUS ASSISTANTSHIPS 2008
For the period October 2008 - June 2009 PGEE received an Assistant teacher of German language in line with the Sectoral program Comenius. Anita Laube worked in our school as an assistant teacher of German. She conducted formal and informal meetings with students and teachers, allowing them to get a feel for German to learn about the German education system, method and manner of teaching through direct contact with a representative of the country. Moreover, Ms. Laube was involved in the translation of documents and cooperated in the development and implementation of projects under EU programs. During her stay she took lessons in Bulgarian, and in cooperation with a volunteer from the Peace Corps, working in PGEE, improved her language skills in English.
As a result of active work of assistants in the German language classes and organized extracurricular time courses in German, the level of language competence and motivation of students increased considerably.
