For the first time PGEE - host organization in line with the program Leonardo da Vinci


Within the project "I know I can I do" Vocational School of Electrical engineering and Electronics "Kapitan Petko Voyvoda" participated for the first time as a host organization, receiving three students and one teacher from Ogre Vocational Secondary school, Latvia for two weeks in April 2009 year in Kardzhali. According to the program they visited classes in Electrical engineering, Electronics and Information Technology. Students from Latvia worked together with their Bulgarian hosts in the Youth Media Center in PGEE. They visited leading enterprises in the town of Kardzhali: “Monek ug”, Hydro Power Plant - Kardzhali and ITW - company for production of packaging machines. Interesting for them were the Observatory in Kardzhali also the Historical Museum, the Church of the Assumption, the Thracian complex Tatul , the archaeological complex Perperikon.
The program of stay of the guests from Latvia was included Bulgarian language training.
Beneficiaries in the project participated in a seminar on "Partnership in education", which was organized by PGEE. The seminar also included a group from France, for which PGEE was receiving partner on attendant activity eTwinning. There were presented the education systems of Latvia, France and Bulgaria, and schools partners as well.
During their stay was achieved full adaptation of the group to culture and to life in Kardzhali. Contacts were established between the Bulgarian, Latvian and French youth.
At the end of the stay the beneficiaries were granted with certificates for language learning.
